Vision disturbances was seen 4 years earlier to diagnosis. There was no real remission period since 1990. It was noted that he was having episodes of vomiting without apparent cause at the age of 8. And his right eye lost vision in his childhood (which was not recognized until the left eye had vision disturbance. In the year 1987 he had a hemi- paresis which was regained to normalcy after 2 months and soon after that he developed blurred vision in the left eye.
Incidentally it was noticed that the episodes of paralysis and vision disturbances were reciprocating during relapses. In 1993-94, resulting a relapse he had difficulty for speaking. He told that he use to be affected with 5-6 relapsed per year. Motor deficits were that of walking were he is having the tendency to fall to one side, inability to hold things like tea cup or glass. During this period he developed spasticity were his head was turned to one side. Normally the cold season exacerbate the symptoms for him.
